Uni Lee
Alumna, Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Mechanical Engineering (2021)
Alumna Uni Lee is a great example of how your involvement throughout your undergraduate studies translates to success after graduation. In 2017, just under two years into her university, Uni joined the Canadian Armed Forces where she now has been an officer in various areas for 8+ years. During this time, she was also very involved in the university community, leading her to receive multiple awards including the Ontario Tech University Outstanding Student Leadership Award. Uni also got an early start in industry during her internships at Canada's Wonderland, Toronto Hydro, and the ACE Climatic Wind Tunnel right at Ontario Tech! Uni credits the courses and internships provided by Ontario Tech for helping secure a job after graduation.
Now, Uni works as a Transmission Integrity and Technology Engineer at Enbridge Gas, after working as an engineering graduate both at ACE and as a Mechanical Design Engineer at SmartCone Technologies Inc. Her dedication to her community has not faded with her continued Canadian Armed Forces work and through her participation with student development initiatives at Ontario Tech University. Her advice to incoming students? Get as much work experience as possible while still in school.
