What we do.
At Engineering Outreach, our mission is to enrich the educational journey of K-12 students across the Durham Region and beyond, instilling a deep-rooted passion for STEM. We strive to make STEM education both accessible and inclusive, especially for those from traditionally underrepresented communities. Here’s how we make an impact:
- Accessibility and Inclusion: Ensuring every student has the opportunity to explore STEM, regardless of background.
- Hands-On Learning: Delivering immersive STEM experiences through workshops and activities in schools and community hubs.

Engineering Outreach is a network member of Actua. Actua is a leading Canadian science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) youth outreach organization. Each year, the Actua network engages over 375,000 youth in 600 communities across Canada in transformative STEM learning experiences that build critical skills and confidence. Black Girls in STEM

Black Girls in STEM is an empowering program led by Ontario Tech University's Engineering Outreach in collaboration with the Kenyan Women In Canada Association. This initiative is designed to spark curiosity, build confidence, and foster a sense of belonging among young Black girls through hands-on STEM activities and mentorship from Black university students in STEM fields.

Join us for the STEMpreneur: AI-Powered Business Challenge, a two-day in-person event where high school students will explore the power of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to solve real-world problems through innovative business solutions. Perfect for students of all experience levels, this challenge introduces AI not just as a tech tool, but as a business enabler
Girls Clubs

Our free all-girls STEM and Coding Clubs for grades 1-8 offer hands-on activities, creative challenges, and fun opportunities to learn about science, technology, engineering, and math in a supportive and empowering environment!

Ontario Tech University’s 2025 Summer Camps program provides fun, hands-on opportunities for your camper to learn and explore their curiosity in a positive and safe educational environment. Designed for both elementary and high school students, our camps foster creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking - all while making learning fun.
