Workshop Descriptions

Drive, Dodge and Discover: Programming Dash to navigate roads

Explore the fascinating world of mobility and autonomous vehicles through hands-on activities with Dash and Dots. Get ready to embark on an exhilarating journey into the future of transportation with our hands-on workshop featuring Dash and Dot robots! This dynamic experience introduces you to the fascinating world of mobility and autonomous vehicles, revealing the concepts of the automotive industry and engineering. This will also cover the concepts of block coding! Dashes will be used as a hands on learning tool to help explore these concepts following different challenges for everyone!

RoboRides: Exploring Autonomous Vehicles with Ozobots

Explore the fascinating world of mobility and autonomous vehicles through hands-on activities with Ozobots. This workshop illustrates key concepts in the automotive industry, automotive engineering, and covers block coding. By leveraging simple programming concepts like loops, variables, and conditional statements, you will code a program to guide an Ozobot through a racetrack!

Exploring the Future: An Overview of Driverless Cars

A discussion on the levels of vehicle autonomy, the main components of autonomous vehicle software, and the state-of-the-art technologies used.

Any questions regarding the program can be sent to Engineering Outreach, engineeringoutreach@ontariotechu.ca
