  • Mighty Networks - Asynchronous Workshops

🚀 Freemium Launch: Joins Us at Engineering Outreach Mighty Networks for Asynchronous Virtual Workshops!

Mighty Networks is an interactive learning space designed for students in different grade levels who are curious about engineering, robotics, coding, and more! Currently, the network includes 4 workshops tailored for Grades 4-6. Upon joining the network, you will get access to one free workshop!

All workshops are asynchronous, self-paced workshops, each one designed to spark STEM curiosity and hands-on skills, all from the comfort of home!

As part of our freemium launch, students can access one full workshop — Sky City Engineers — completely FREE! In this self-paced, hands-on workshop, students will learn, design, and build bridges!

    🔓 Want More Learning Adventures?

If your child enjoys the experience and would like to unlock additional premium workshops, including:

    🤖 Robotics Explorers (Gr 4-6)
Students will explore what robots are and where they appear in our daily lives, while learning about the fascinating history of robotics and how the technology has evolved over time. They’ll discover the similarities between humans and robots, including the key components that make up robots—such as sensors, actuators, and controllers. Through simple programming, students will gain the ability to control a robot’s movements and actions, and they'll also get hands-on experience programming virtual robots to deepen their understanding.

    Electrical Excitement (Gr 4-6)
Students will dive into the basics of electricity and how it powers the modern world, gaining an understanding of electrical circuits and the key components that make them function. They'll explore the groundbreaking inventions of Nikola Tesla and how his work shaped the future of electricity. Through hands-on activities, students will build virtual circuits and tackle a real-world challenge—solving power outages. Along the way, they'll play an essential role in helping Nikola Tesla complete his visionary inventions.

    🕵️ Software Spies (Gr 4-6)
Students will discover what coding is and why it plays a vital role in today’s digital world, while exploring the contributions of software engineers within the tech industry.  They’ll gain valuable insights into cybersecurity and learn essential tips for staying safe online. Using Repl.it, students will practice writing and testing their own code, examine real-world applications of programming—including its connection to Artificial Intelligence (AI)—and develop foundational skills in Python by creating a "Password Unscrambler" project. In the end, they’ll take action to support and help save Engineering Outreach through their newfound coding abilities.

  • Learn STEM at Home Videos

We previously hosted online learning sessions as part of our Live Learning at Home program, aimed at supporting students' continuous learning from home. These were one-hour livestream sessions designed to familiarize youth with important STEM concepts, such as the engineering design process and the principles of the scientific method. Aligned with the Ontario Curriculum for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, these sessions provided a thorough educational experience.

Recordings of these sessions are now available, allowing anyone to watch and follow along from home at their convenience.
