Adhip Sreekumar Kizhuthodi
Adhip Sreekumar Kizhuthodi (Student Member, IEEE) received his BTech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from TKM College of Engineering, India in 2013 and his MSc(Engg.) in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Science in 2017. He has worked as a power system engineer for ABB’s and Siemens’s electricity market management solutions between 2017 and 2022. He is currently pursuing his PhD at Ontario Tech University.

Akash Samanta
Akash Samanta (Student Member, IEEE) received B. Tech degree (1st class) in Electrical Engineering from the West Bengal University of Technology in 2012 and M. Tech (1st class) and MBA degree in Electrical Engineering and Energy Management from the University of Calcutta in 2018 and 2014 respectively. From 2014 to 2018 he was a Project Officer and Solar Energy Master Trainer with the Department of Energy Management, Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management, Kolkata, India. He is currently pursuing his PhD with the Department of Electrical Engineering and the Smart Transportation Electrification and Energy Research (STEER) Group, Faculty of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Ontario Tech University, Oshawa, ON, Canada. His research interest includes electric energy storage systems, battery management systems, power electronics converters, and the application of machine learning and artificial intelligence in the field.

Alvin Huynh
Alvin Huynh (Student Member, IEEE) received the B.E. degree (Hons.) as well as his MASc in electrical engineering from Ontario Tech University (OTU), Oshawa, Canada, in 2021 and 2023 respectively. He is a PhD Research Student in Electrical Engineering under the Department of Electrical, Computer and Software Engineering at OTU. He is currently pursuing his PhD with the Smart Transportation Electrification and Energy Research (STEER) Group, Faculty of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Ontario Tech University, Oshawa, ON, Canada. His research interests include lithium-ion batteries, energy storage, power electronics, motor drives, battery management systems, charger equalizers, formula student SAE electric motorsports, battery characterization and estimation using Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

Anindita Golder
Anindita Golder (Student Member, IEEE) received her BSc. in Electrical Engineering from the American University of Sharjah, Sharjah, UAE, in 2016 (Great Distinction), and her M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from McGill University, Montreal, ON, Canada, in 2020. She worked in project management for 2 years in Cummins Middle East before her Masters. She is currently pursuing her PhD with the Department of Electrical Engineering and the Smart Transportation Electrification and Energy Research (STEER) Group, Faculty of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Ontario Tech University, Oshawa, ON, Canada. Her current research interests include energy management systems and planning for transportation electrification.

Kushan Tharuka Lulbadda
Kushan Tharuka (Student Member, IEEE) received his honors degree of Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology, Sri Lanka in 2017 and a Master of Science (Research) degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka in 2021. Kushan worked as an assistant lecturer in Sri Lanka since 2017. He is currently pursuing his PhD with the Department of Electrical Engineering and the Smart Transportation Electrification and Energy Research (STEER) Group, Faculty of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Ontario Tech University, Oshawa, ON, Canada. His research deals with the study and analysis of power inverters/converters, energy management systems, renewable energy integration and smart grids.

Chandan Chetri

Latha Anekal
Latha Anekal (Student Member, IEEE) received her B.E. in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University, Mysore, India and MASc. in Electrical Engineering from Ontario Tech University, Oshawa, ON, Canada in 2011 and 2024 respectively. She has over 9 years of industrial experience in electric vehicle industries. She is currently pursuing her PhD with the Department of Electrical Engineering and the Smart Transportation Electrification and Energy Research (STEER) Group, Faculty of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Ontario Tech University, Oshawa, ON, Canada. Her current research interests include electric energy storage systems, battery management systems, power electronics converters, and the application of machine learning and artificial intelligence in the related field.

Fariha Rahman
Fariha Rahman (Student Member, IEEE) received her B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) from the American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB), Dhaka, Bangladesh, in 2021. She is currently pursuing her Master’s degree with the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science (FEAS) at Ontario Tech University, Oshawa, ON, Canada, and conducting research with the Smart Transportation Electrification and Energy Research (STEER) group. Her research interests include wireless power transfer for electric vehicles (EVs), focusing on coil designs and misalignment tolerance techniques for various coil configurations.
Her thesis research aims to explore innovative coil design strategies and develop techniques to enhance misalignment tolerance, which is crucial for improving the efficiency of wireless power transfer systems in EVs.

Mohit Sharma (Student Member, IEEE) received his B.Tech. in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the West Bengal University of Technology, Kolkata, India in 2021. He is currently pursuing his Masters of Applied Science with the Department of Electrical Engineering and the Smart Transportation Electrification and Energy Research (STEER) Group, Faculty of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Ontario Tech University, Oshawa, ON, Canada. His current research interests include electric energy storage systems, battery management systems, power electronics converters, and the application of machine learning and artificial intelligence in the related field and drives for different kind of motors.

Ruvini Wathsala De Seram
Ruvini De Seram (Student member, IEEE) received her BSc (Hons) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka in 2020 (1st class). She worked as a visiting instructor in the Electrical engineering department of University of Moratuwa from February 2020 to April 2020 and joined IPD Colombo (Pvt) Ltd as an Electrical Engineer in June 2020. From January 2021 to November 2022, she worked in National Water Supply and Drainage Board, Sri Lanka as an Electrical Engineer and currently she is pursuing her MASc. in the Department of Electrical Engineering and the Smart Transportation Electrification and Energy Research (STEER) Group, Faculty of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Ontario Tech University, Oshawa, ON, Canada. Her research interests include study and analysis of applications of solid state transformers based on power electronics.

Ummemisbah Bhisti
Ummemisbah Bhisti (Student Member, IEEE) received a B.Tech degree (1st class) in Electrical Engineering from DKTE Society Textile and Engineering Institute, Ichalkaranji, India in 2023. She was an MITACS Globalink Research 2022 Intern under Dr. Sheldon Williamson and worked on a battery management system. She is currently pursuing his Masters of Applied Science with the Department of Electrical Engineering and the Smart Transportation Electrification and Energy Research (STEER) Group, Faculty of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Ontario Tech University, Oshawa, ON, Canada. Her research interests include the study and application of wireless charging systems.
