Dr. VSR Varaprasad Oruganti
Dr. Venkata Subramanya Raghavendra Varaprasad Oruganti (Member, IEEE) earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Warangal, India in 2019. He currently serves as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Smart Transportation Electrification and Energy Research (STEER) Group within the Department of Electrical, Computer, and Software Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science, Ontario Tech University, located in Oshawa, ON L1G 0C5, Canada.
Dr. Oruganti has been conferred with prestigious awards including the Power System Operation Corporation Limited (POSOCO) Power System Award 2017 and the Bhaskara Advanced Solar Energy Fellowship 2015 from the Government of India. His current research interests focus on advanced power electronic converters for Electric Vehicle charging applications and multifunctional inverters. Dr. Oruganti is also a Life Member of the Indian Society for Technical Education in India.

Dr. Kin Lung Jerry Kan
Dr. Kin Lung Jerry Kan received the B.Eng. degree in Electrical Engineering and its automation from the South China University of Technology, Guangzhou, China, in 2017, and the M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering and the Ph. D. degree from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong, in 2018 and 2024 respectively. During this time, he focused on the power converter development of EVs and the novel AC Magnetohydrodynamic engine research.
Dr. Kan is currently a Post-Doctoral Fellow in the research group Smart Transportation Electrification and Energy Research (STEER), Ontario Tech University, taking the lead in the vehicular wireless charger development. His research interests include Electric Vehicle, Wireless Power Transfer, DC–DC Power Converters, and Marine Electrification.
He is an executive on the Educational Committee of the IEEE Transportation Electrification Council, where he helps organize academic conferences and activities. He has reviewed more than 40 research manuscripts for IEEE Transactions journals and conferences.
