Smart Transportation Electrification and Energy Research (STEER) is a leading research group located at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology in Oshawa, Ontario. Our team, led by Sheldon Williamson, PhD, Canada Research Chair in Electric Energy Storage Systems for Transportation Electrification, comprises of post-doctoral fellows, research associates and graduate students. With the support of Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) funding and industrial partners, we conduct cutting-edge research and develop the latest technologies related to wired and wireless chargers, energy storage systems, and electric motor drives for electric vehicles.
