Smart and Multi-Functional Structures (SMFS) Laboratory
Welcome to SMFS Lab
At the SMFS lab, we advance smart materials and structures to create user-friendly, sustainable, and intelligent technologies for energy conversion, advanced thermal management, and wearable solutions. Our research focuses on four primary areas:
- Hybridized energy harvesting systems for efficient mechanical energy capture.
- Polymeric aerogels for advanced thermal management in extreme conditions.
- Architected metamaterials with unique mechanical properties and tunable behavior.
- Conductive flexible substrates for user-friendly biomedical and rehabilitation applications.
