FutureEng, an All-girl Engineering Conference

About FutureEng

Presented by The Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science at Ontario Tech University and Hydro One, the FutureEng All-girl Engineering Conference is a 1-day event open to girls in grades 10 & 11, intended to inspire the next generation of females interested in STEM to become future engineers. Join us for a fun day and connect with like-minded peers during hands-on activities related to science, technology, engineering, math, and physics.

Through a variety of speakers, students will discover the differences between engineering and science, and help them determine which education stream is right for them.

Attendees will learn about what high school course pathways they need in order to apply for engineering university programs, as well as gain insight into what it’s like being a female engineering student. Our programming will explain the different streams of engineering, and some of the career paths that are possible in each one. You will also be inspired by current female engineering professionals as they talk about their careers, how they got there, what it’s like in the engineering workforce and the future of engineering.

Engineering is a very diverse field with endless opportunities, and we hope this conference will help you discover a future in engineering you may have never thought possible!
